Would you like to be part of a city that heals itself using nature? Does it sound a bit airy fairy? Well it isn’t. It is fact. We need nature. There are so many studies that show that we need nature to survive, to reboot, to stop, to relax, to breathe, to feel, to love, to play, to nurture, to eat – to survive basically. And nature now needs us too. This is a cycle of dependency. Without nature we struggle emotionally and physically. Nature, without us now, in its time of need, will continue to disappear. We need nature whether we like it or not and nature needs us.

The vision begins with our schools, and making them the pillars of our community, transforming their spaces with nature with community help, to create a generation of love and appreciation for nature. We learn from the young, and they teach us how to live. Our schools can help bring communities together. As we come together, we can then look at transforming our open spaces right on our doorsteps, creating the natural spaces that we need right at our feet and our fingertips.

True nature is often limited to outside of the city or a distance away, inaccessible to so so many. And many of our open spaces are mown, chopped and sprayed with nature pushed to the edges, or unmown spaces that have not had a thought for nature, but for cost reduction.

We need to make our open spaces work for us, provide natural spaces, woodland and meadows, whilst also providing food such as community orchards and allotments. In redefining, looking after and having a sense of ownership of our spaces together, we will tackle many of the issues that face us as a society by coming together.

How do we do this?

Our Projects

We are collaborating with CounterCoin to harness the power of their network of local businesses, community groups and volunteers. CounterCoin are helping us connect like-minded organisations, providing sponsor businesses with charities and schools to drive sustainable development in Stoke-on-Trent.

We need more corporate sponsors.

Sponsorship starts from just £10 so no matter how big or small your organisation is, you can contribute to the physical and mental health of our community.

You will get a pin on our map showing your sponsored tree and we will promote your engagement through digital marketing. We will also provide you with visual content and story for you to use to promote your involvement in the scheme.
